  17.      _y_p_i_n_i_t sets up network information service (NIS) on a system.  It can be
  18.      used to set up a client or a master or slave server.  You must be the
  19.      superuser to run it.  It asks a few self-explanatory questions, and
  20.      reports success or failure to the terminal.

  22.      It sets up a master server using the simple model in which that server is
  23.      master to all maps in the data base.  This is the way to bootstrap the
  24.      NIS system; later if you want, you can change the association of maps to
  25.      masters.  All databases are built from scratch, either from information
  26.      available to the program at runtime, or from the ASCII data base files in
  27.      /_e_t_c.  The location may be overridden using the ----ffff argument.  These files
  28.      are listed below under FFFFIIIILLLLEEEESSSS.  All such files should be in their
  29.      "traditional" form, rather than the abbreviated form used on client
  30.      machines.

  32.      An NIS database on a slave server is set up by copying an existing
  33.      database from a running server.  The _m_a_s_t_e_r__n_a_m_e argument should be the
  34.      hostname of the NIS master server.
